Tribal Website Section

The duPont YMCA and the Adventure Guide/Princess Program welcomes submittals for bonafide tribes, Nations, and other groups associated with the duPont YMCA and the Adventure Guide/Princess Program. We do have some requirements, though, in the interest of consistency, administrative ease, and general good taste. Below are some guidelines and requirements for posting something on the duPont YMCA and the Adventure Guide/Princess Program Web Site, or having your already posted site linked to this site.

RULES FOR POSTING TRIBAL WEBSITES

There are 2 ways we can host Tribal websites: on the timucuan.org server, or offsite. Hosting offsite would be better as that takes the webspinner out of the loop, and it lets the Tribal Web Spinner have direct control of the content.

To "host" you website offsite, here are some tips:
To have timucuan.net host your Tribal website:

Tribal Website CONTEST!

Since the Timucuan Federation website is already an award winning site (The 2001 and 2004 State-wide Pow Wow "Best Program Website" award), we have decided to get the Tribes (and Nations) more involved on the Web. So with your participation we can have an annual Timucuan Federation Tribal Web Page Contest. We encourage all Tribes to build a Tribal website and link them to the world in the above listing.

The usual minimum pieces of a Tribal Website include a Roster, a Calendar, Migration Schedule, some pictures, and maybe some outing reports. Using the above information about posting, you can build your own Tribal Website. And remember, you can get the Little Braves and Princesses involved, especially in picking pictures, selecting outings to discuss, etc. For "extra credit" your website can give some history, customs, and culture notes for the Tribe's namesake.

Each Spring, the Federation Council will review all the Tribal Websites, judging them based on content, clarity, "up-to-dateness", overall look, and discussion of the Tribe's namesake. The best few Websites will be awarded Special Awards at the Spring Longhouse or OWB Party. So, start thinking, and build some great websites.
